The villa is situated in the centre of Provence in the Var region about one hour's drive from the airports at Nice or Toulon-Hyeres. This is a beautiful area set between the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea and superb for touring.

There are many historic villages and famous Provencal vineyards close by. An easy drive brings you to the beaches and lively resorts at Sainte Maxime (complete with Aquapark), Saint Raphael, Port Grimaud and Saint Tropez. 

Inland amidst breathtaking scenery, the Gorges du Verdon - the French Grand Canyon - and Lake St Croix, the largest lake in Provence, offer swimming, walking, sailing, white water rafting, kayaking and windsurfing. All just 45 minutes away.

Nearby Lorgues, Les Arcs, and Flayosc are charming and friendly medieval villages with many cafes, shops, bars and restaurants, and vibrant weekly street markets. Other local attractions include the Abbaye du Thoronet, the waterfall at Sillans de Cascade, and the village of Chateaudouble set in stunning mountain scenery.

Nice,  Cannes and  Aix en Provence are an hour's drive; Italy is an easy day's outing and so are the  picturesque islands  just off the coast from  Le Lavandou  or  Hyères.
